You may find one here, http://www.google.com/search?h...ell=1 I would also check the cap, the amp and cap wiring, and all the connections, with a 500W system and a 2 farad cap, that is a big drop in voltage for the HU to turn off, unless it has a wiring problem. 94

Run another battery or just have a shop Custom wind you an alternator to your specs, I had a 3000 Watt RMS system with a 1 farad cap and an optima battery Wiring is the KEY!!!

The system was in a 87 4runner

I have a 15" XXX with a 220amp alternator and 0 guage stinger setup. I still have dimming. Caps don't help!!! Better to upgrade the battery or alternator.

Exactly,no caps will solve the problem, only hide it.
I also have a 15" XXX w/Planet audio 1200watts only have a 135alt Optima yellow top and upgraded ground wire,no dimming.

If you dont want dimming and you have a high power system Run an extra battery so the soundsystem doesnt strain the electrical system.

i dont think that the alternator will do much cuz i have a 2000 watt system with a 2 farad cap. and i have no dimming and the head unit dosent lose power and shut off. most likely u could have a bad ground that isnt connecting right. or u could have a problem with ur head unit. and i have a stock honda alternator. but alternators are known to go out.

500 watts is really not a lot, so check your wiring and make sure all connections are good and clean. If it's all good, then get a ho alternator.
