Amazing.
I hope you're not installing this yourself.

does it even really matter at this point since the head is not even ready to be put on the block yet?
But yes, just grab the cam gears and rotate them both forward slightly and line up the dots.

i would sell those 3 bolt cam gears to some ricer and buy a set of at least 4 or the newer 6 bolt gears

even though heads not installed or even the cams, im just checking the alignment of the gears before i actually use them.
from my past experience, with the cams woodruff slot pointing directly up, the 2 dots should line up with one another.

They're not pointing directly up.
They're not pointing directly up.
If that is what is bugging you slap on the fac gears and see what they show. If not wait till you put the head back on and are going to put it in time. You are playing with the laws of gravity their. It is not going to look right until you are setting in time.

Once the head is on the block, you will be able to correct that small offset in alignment by slightly rotating the gear when installing the belt.

Put the cam caps on first, that will help alot. When the crank pulley is at TDC, thats when the marks on the cam gears need to be perfect. For now they can be off a little.
