Default FRONT END AXLE QUESTION

Okay fellas I have a quick question for you guys
Im thinking of trading my car for a crx but dude said that today some truck backed up into the front end of his car. As a result of course body damage but also the truck mananged to snap the CRX's axle. A truck would more than likely have to be going sort of fast to snap an axle like that, right? What do you guys think would be a result of this? In regards to unseen damage? Sure the axle can be replaced, but do you think there's frame damage or something to that extent? DO you think its even worth getting anymore? Any input would be appreciated.

If it was bad enough to brake an axle, odds are there's frame damage.

If there isn't frame damage then there are for sure very bent components. Most likely it is a combination of both of those!

depends on the extent of the damage. Frames can be straightened etc, but im sure once its damaged like that, it prolly won't ever be the same. IMO, trading ur car for a busted *** crx is not worth it. Well, depends on what ur trading i guess, what ARE u trading?

here is my theory ...NEVER trade a running/working car for a broken car.....

anyways

if it was enough force to snap the axel no doubt there is other problems..suspension problems for sure and prob sway bar is bent steering is prob crap

If you really want to trade for it I would first take it to a body/frame shop and have them put it on the rack and see if it is bent. Almost 100% that there will be suspension damage if it broke an axel and as we all know what does the suspension bolt to? Good chance there is subframe damage if not unibody damage. Get everything checked before anything else happens
