Default Questions about setting up a non-vtec B20?

I am thinkin about buliding a non-vtec B20,is there a lot of potential out of this non-vtec motor witout acutally going CRVTEC?

With this motor could I or could I not use VTEC cams?
Do I have to upgrade the pistons and rods?

The ECU I am going to use is probably stage 2 hondata? but wonderin could I use a 95 GSR ECU to run the engine?

with heads, since I dont want to go with VTEC heads, who in the aftermarket makes performance non-vtec heads?

Thanks for all your help...

-Well, buildup of this motor would be similar (very) to a LS motor (B18A/B).
-You cannot use the VTEC cams b/c of the fact that you do not have VTEC on that head (basically a LS head).
-You can use LS cams (crower, etc...) and camgears, etc...
-You cannot (well, shouldn't) use the P72 ecu for that motor, stick to the LS (P75 I think?), and rechip it. Reson being that the GS-R computer is made for a DOHC VTEC motor, and being that you'd like to stick non-vtec, you'd get nothing but CEL's and other wonderful bugs (no dual-stage manifold, no vtec, etc...).
-I think Gude has a LS head package that would work nicely
-As far as the ECU, you can probably get a non-vtec ecu and have it chipped to run that motor (I think you can get away w/ a civic DX - chipped more aggressively)
-You can use a JRSC from a LS motor on this (same head)
-Headers, etc... from b-series will bolt in
-Skunk2 intake manifold (LS) would be a good upgrade (from the tall-manifold)
-Turbo, Nitrous, SC, etc... would be pretty sweet for this motor (hmm... 2.0l)

if you do not want VTEC then you cant run any VTEC parts. that includes VTEC cams or VTEC ecu's.

you have to use the head that come with the B20 engine which is identical to the integra LS head. it will use the non-VTEC cams (Crower, Crane) and a integra LS ECU which you can have modified for higher redline.......

B20 non-VTEC is a pretty good motor to build up.......

Well, actually - he can take advantage of the waterpump (gsR or Integra.R) - I think you'd have to run the gsR timing belt for this trick (dunno if its required for the h20 pump change or the oil-pump change). The Oilpump on the cr-v is the same as the Integra.R/gsR I've been told. GS-R block girdle also, some modifications needed (can't remember - know it works w/ modifications on the LS block). You can get some aftermarket pistons/rods for this too (Integra.R, Civic.R, and other b-series won't really work since they have a smaller bore 81mm vs 84mm).
