Default Storing away rims and tires

I've stored away my rims and tires for the past 5 months or so since I've put on new ones. I double-wrapped them individually in black plastic bags, and I stacked them on top of each other with the face of the rim facing up. Is that the correct to store them, or what is the proper way to take care of them?

The tirerack link only refers to hot conditions. Is it bad to store wheels and tires in freezing conditions?

probably not the best, especially if you have summers that don't tolerate cold weather, might crack, i dunno, it's best i suppose to store them indoors but if you can't you can't.

I would assume if you have metal to metal contact it might not be the best of things.

honestly I stack my tires one on top in my garage. I don't care that much, but that's just me.

It is ok to stack the tires on top of each other and it is best to avoid extreme hot or cold temperatures.
