Bay Area ITR Owners my R was molested
this all started last weekend, when my car was towed to my brothers house in alameda *bayfarm* to be specific it was towed there at approx 12:30 - 1:00am
pushed into the complex so no one knew it was there (at least thats what i thought)
@ 1:30 my brother came outside to check the car and it was fine, and then @ 3:00 the neighbor came home from work parked next to my car and it was still all good, another neighbor woke up @ 4:00 to walk her dog and heard a car smashin through the neighborhood, the car looked to be ok, my brother awoke @ 6:30 to find my passenger side window pulled down, my jdm black recaros gone, my turbo timer my itr badge # 00-884 gone shiftknob gone and my passenger side fender dented like a motherf*****, jdm front and intercooler was there still ??
it never fails to amaze me @ hot much owning this car is a pain, the car was alone for 3 hours and still gets jacked.
now the good news, after making some calls and some people getting involved, i got most of my stuff back, still dont know who did it, i do know my itr badge is missing and my relay for the turbo timer is gone ohh well for that. I feel that i was just luckey to get what i got back. i hear the person who did it was like 17 and his reasoning was it was a type R with no alarm i know im going to get flamed for that, turns out a friend of mine took the battery out of my car without my knowledge.
just wanted to give folks in the bay a heads up please keep an eye out for itr badge # 00-884, i hear the badges are not replaceable ? if so please let me know
thanks

Sorry to hear man but it sounds like your friend saved your ***. I'm not gonna flame for the lack of an alarm but you better go buy your boy some beer or something as your car probably wouldn't still be there.

wow, you still have a good 5 years until you get a car of your own. unless your extremly rich and your parents buy you your own M3 when you turn 16.
sorry for gettting OT.

thanks for all of your responses,
the reason that the car didnt have an alarm was because it had no motor, no trans and all that fun stuff..
likewise, i know... yeah i guess you could say that im very lucky to have family like i do, thankfully we got most of it back.

Damn sucks to hear about your car man. You have to take some precaution and put an alarm and a lo jack as your next mods. That or full coverage insurance and you will sleep a lot better.
the badges are replaceable but i think you get a blank instead of one with your # on it. and i would be thankful you still have your car. now all that is left is getting a badass alarm to protect your ****.

honestly... no offense or anything, but some of you guys need to learn how to read. he already said he has an alarm, but it's not working right now since the motor is pulled and he has no battery
I don't mean to be rude, but read the entire thread before posting

seriously, I'm scared to bring my car back to Alameda... I still don't have a garage to keep it in, but I'm getting tired of driving the beater Benz around town...

not to flame anyone or start anything, but if you got your stuff back because your friend knew someone or the person who took them, their info would be appreciated for those who've lost their r's or got some stuff stolen, never know, he might have some parts or have sold parts from previous R owners...
