Default need to know which trannys are compatable w/ b18a1???

i have 90 integra gs with the b18a1 and im eventually going to rebuild and turbo it. right now i just need a new clutch but was thinking about just upgrading the tranny with a whole new one from a newer model. should i do that or maybe rebuild the tranny.

any b series tranny would be compatible with the b18a1. What you get should all depend on your driving (highway, city, track, etc...)

b16/b18c-r = very close gears, wouldnt be good if you travel on the highway alot

b18c1 = same 1st and 2nd as ls, only difference is the final and 3rd is considerably shorter

or like you said you could just rebuild the ls tranny and use that..

the choose is yours

Whats wrong with your tranny? If you just want to rebuild it so you know its new and reliable and you are actually going to go turbo(its not just a dream) then the LS tranny would be a good choice, but, if you think you might not go turbo then i would drop a GSR tranny. The GSR has slightly shorter gears but you wont want to kick your self in the a$$ on the freeway. I run the LS trans because its good for freeway racing, hope i helped but just like every body else is going to say that's just my 2 cents.
