Default Error 4 code

My mechanic is having issues with this. I have a Z6 going into a 1990 DX. It is wired to multi port and uses the resistor box, 88-91 Si intake, and an Integra ECU. (89)

I used an 88-91 Si distributor, and it threw and Error 4 and the engine would not tach over 3500.
My mechanic asked me to order a 92-95 Z6 distributor, so I did. He is getting the same error 4 code and the engine will not tach over 3500. Same exact problem.

What can I do at this point WITHOUT having to convert to OBD-1 and re-wire the entire damn vehicle?
Thanks.

check your distributor wiring - sounds like you have the orange and white wires at ECU pins B10 & B12 switched

He's checking that right now and other wiring.

For a guy who fully built an LSVtec in a CRX and raced very succesfully in H1, this motor sure is being a pain in the keyster.

I read on a swap page the 92-95 distributor will NOT work with the Integra ECU.
But then I read on another site that it will work?

Does anybody here have any knowledge with this swap?

Ok, check this out. I F%#k up and installed wire B12 on B14. So I found that and corrected the problem by changing the wires to where they should have gone. But now the car will not start at all. I have checked and double checked and I am clueless now. I guess tomorrow I will try the old diss made for a crx OBD 0.

Any ideas.

you need the OBD0 distributor, although it doesn't match up to the Z6 head very well

Thank you jlicrx and droppedcrxsi!
It did turn out to be one of those pins. OBD-0 dizzy is back in and the car is running very well.

I have tons of cash in this car so far.
Bought the d16z6 from the bone yard with 57 k miles.
Stage 1 Clutchmasters clutch.
Fidanza flywheel.
Used an 88-91 Si intake manifold
88-91 resistor box
88-91 Distributor
Stainless header
Paid DTAYLOR for install and MPFI wiring.

Now for the fun stuff.
Car also has:
Four Digital Design 9512's (55 pounds each)
Four of the new Digital Design Z1 amps (5,000 watts each)
Two Hawker 2150 batteries coming
And eight runs of 0 cable.

Wouldn't that question be already answered?

Factory DX + 300 lbs
Or D16Z6 + 300 lbs.

Seriously though, the gear only goes in the day before a comp. It stays in my house any other time.
