Default H&Rs vs. Apex-i WS coils/Tein SS

I already own a set of H&R race springs and they feel pretty nice matched up with my KYB's. But I'm thinking about going a little lower and I like that the dampers allow for more adjustments. My question is... Is this a bad Idea? I love my 15" wheels but hate the wheel gap. I want something that will handle well on the track for future amature road course racing and some solo 2 adventures. I sometimes hear coilovers don't handle as well as a standard lowering spring, is this true?

if you want to track sometimes, im not to sure you would want the apexi ws. i have them, they ride awesomely, but i dont think they could stand up to auto-x b/c they are not stiff enough

if you want more, coilovers are the really only other option.....though for the money there are much better options than SS

Yeah, I also have the WS (which I love ) but again, prolly not stiff enough for auto-x. They're awesome for a daily ride though, and plenty stiff for street driving

Out of the three I would say get the Apexi WS. The WS will hold up to autoX much better than the SS will IMO. Everyone that has the SS say they ride too soft and the WS are much stiffer. If you get a coilover setup though get a real one, not the regular slip on set unless its Ground Controls with a set of Koni Yellows.

Ive only heard of garbage about JIC. Its supposed to be the Tenzo R of Japan.

WS dont have adjustable damper, and they ARE softer then tein SS according to the suspension dynos ive seen....

um...the people that i know in japan have said the same thing about Tein...theres a reason you can get the SS over there for <$500 brand new
my buddy has JIC on his RX-7...ive driven it alot, and i cant complain

but lets be honest...most of the stuff is outsourced...they only place i know of that makes their own springs is Tanabe, and only a few even manufacture their own dampers in house....

Does you and your buddy track the car though? Theres been cases of where the JIC blow too quickly and cant withstand track abuse. There was a long thread about it here in GDD.

Wasnt sure if Tanabe made their own springs but I know KYB or Tokico makes their dampers. My friend has a set on his Accord.
