My 1990 CRX SiR speedometer doesn't move sometimes. At other times it flicks around wildly.

What can I do to fix it? Thanks.

 

Assure that the cable is properly seated in the tranny as well as the cluster. If it is ok on both ends, replace the speedometer cable.

 

your speed sensor is pooped out , you need a new one, there cheap goto you local auto parts store, but first check the speed sensor on you tranny ,stand on the passenger side of the car look straght down at the tranny you should see a plug goin into the top of the trans, take it an clean a little an put it back in might be a bad connection, check to see if it worked if it didnt you need a new one

 

Thanks. I believe my car uses a sensor, not cable. I will go check it later. (At work now).
