RSX ac removal
i searched my butt off but found NOTHING! i couldn't believe it. anyway, my friend recently hit a fox or something and blew up his a/c. he took out all the lines already and is looking for a replacement belt so he can remove the compressor. he's telling me that the type S uses a serpentine belt? is that true? anyway, how would he go about doing this? he wants to retain the power steering but lose the ac. the only adapters he's found remove both. i tried hasport's website but didn't turn up anything useful. i'm really surprised there's no posts on this already, i wouldn't think this is something that has never been done before?! thanks guys!
You have to get a kit man. The a/c, power steering, alt., etc all run off the crank on the same belt. Here is a kit thats not that cheap but it will clean everything up for your buddy.

The only other thing I can suggest about the power steering is to play with different size belts and routes... There is another kit out there but it involves the removal of both. Spoon also made a belt that removed one or the other not sure exactly, you might want to check that out. Good Luck man.
You might be able to do what a lot of b and h series guys do, just have a reservoir for the power steering and lines so you can retain fluid but it wont be as good as having a pump...still an option, just not a good one. haha

Just take off the A/C compressor and measure the length of belt you'll need. It's a 7-rib belt, just take a rope and run it around all the pulleys you'll use(crank, water pump, alternator, PS). I would recommend Dayco belts(http://www.daycoproducts.com/), I'm using one with the 3-pulley setup on my swap and it's working great. Once you get the length of the belt you'll need, you can find the belt through any Schucks/Kragen site(http://www.partsamerica.com/Default.aspx). Good luck.
