I recently have been doing some tranmission removal and installation as you guys may or may not know....

I had some bearing probs with the new tranny so i pulled it the other day and put in a stock m2b4 for a few days....

anyways: with both trannies i have noticed this problem, but never before the original swap....

when i am in gear, and hit the brakes hard, there is a feeling much like the abs modulating, but instead of just feeling it in the pedal, the whole car feels it.....its definitely not abs though, bc it wont do it if im in neutral....

it also will sometimes do it if i am taking off and the clutch chatters a lot....and it has done it when i was taking off taking a right onto a street with moderate throttle....only right as i let the clutch out and then it was gone....

i havent gotten to turn circles yet to see if the axles are bad, but from the little i have felt, they arent, im gonna do that this afternoon, but in the meantime, do you guys have any suggestions?

also, the lower ball joint boots are crap, the nuts are tight, but the boots are crap and all the grease is gone....maybe that could have something to do with it????

edit: it also seems that when i am slowing and its still in gear, as i put the clutch in the put it into neutral, it will do it right then and then stop...

Clutch chatter is most likely from oil or crap on the flywheel/clutch/PP or warped flywheel, disk, PP.

its not the chatter im worried about, i actually think its the axle....but thanks anyway
