Default used hatchie Si-help!!!

I think I've got this taken care of for the most part, other than the dudes askin price, but the main reason I was posting this up is it would be helpful to have advice from people who've actually bought a car in their life, as i haven't yet. It's a 90' hatch Si model, with 184000 miles on the original motor and tranny(clutch too I suppose), the exterior is okay, needs a wash, don't see any rust (I've only looked it over briefly). i drove it yesterday and the D16A6 still feels strong(Ill be swapping it into my other EF and using it for a gas mileage commuter sort of thing).

However the exhaust has rusted through and it hurts your ears(I really mean that). there is a crack in one of the bumper, yet it's a clean title and never been wrecked (very good thing to have a straight body when doing a motor swap). anyway, he wants 1800, says he'll take 1200, yet I typed all it had in on kelly blue book and it said appx. 1335 was appropriate. So what do you all say to 1000?

The funny thing is that I already have a swapped DX hatch with a B16 and ITR LCA's. I wanted to find another body to swap everything over to due to the 330000 miles I have on my current box. lol, I talked to his daughter who's selling the car today and she acted like that was too little of an amount. and it's not a 90 I just found out earlier, it's an 89, I forgot to ask until she told me . anyway, thanks for the advice and keep it coming.

my exhuast on my EF is not rusted.. and the $1335 asking price is the price that a dealer would sell the car for.. not what the dealer would give you for the car.. trust me i did the same thing.. my car is in tip top condition.. and it only offered me like $1300.. do it again.. and if it is $1335.. then dont tell him becuz he wont go any lower then that if he can get that much from a used car dealership.. i work at a dealership and that is like the MOST they will give him.. tell him you looked it up on kelly blue boook and THE ABSOLUTE MOST you can get it for is 1300 in PERFACT CONDITION.. and see what he says

lol, that's exactly what I went to do tonight, however, he wasn't there. I had the kbb print out in my hand to show him and I was gonna knock the price down to a cool g because of the rusted exhaust, bad drivers seat, okay paint I guess, and 184000 miles means things are gonna need to be replaced sooner or later. Im meeting his daughter tomorrow who is the one really selling it and maybe I can sweet talk her into giving it to me for whatit's actually worth, and then some......haha.

if all else fails you can do one of two things
1.wip it out and show it to her.
2.punch her in the eye, take the keys, and RUN LIKE HELL
