Default CHIPPED ECU Question P28 ??

Ok i have a 93 bubble with a 98 gsr swap in it . It has a Ported head skunk 2 valvetrain and skunk valves . i /e / h , type r cams and skunk 2 intake manifold , Type r Throttle Body , The chip im running now is a p28 setup for an lsvtec my friend had before . Would i make more power if i got a new chip burnt made for a GSR with the work i have done . Or would it be basically the same thing as the lsvtec p28 i have in it now ?

word to the wise: Dont use chips that we're made for someone else's setup.

Also, just having someone burn another chip will make a decent "basemap"(if they know what they're doing) but you still need to go get it fine tuned, all generic chips are, are someones best guess, therefore they can be very accurate or very shitty (excuse my french).

Moral of the story; you will be much happier with maps made especially for your setup.

There are several people on this board that do, including myself. But as 97L-esVeeTeg said, and it's what I tell everyone asking the questions you asked, blindly making a chip will not yield the best results, some sort of feedback is needed, and dyno tuning is the only way to guarantee the most power from your engine. Any chip that anyone makes will be a "good guess" at best, and possibly hurt your motor if it's too aggressive.
