P72 has the ability to control the IABs on a stock gsr intake manifold, so it depends which head u r using and if your using the stock manifold

get a p28 and chip it and get a base map so you can fire it up and drive it to the dyno and tune. or you can tow your car to the dyno and break it in on the dyno

p72 has recognizes a knock sensor. but an ls block doesnt have one anyway. so it doesnt matter which one you use. like i said earlier, any obd1 ecu will work.
