Coolant temp gauge and sending unit. The one on the left is the sending unit and the one on the right just below the VTEC solenoid housing is the ECT sensor.

to clarify:
the one on the left is the sending unit for the temp gauge on the dash. the one on the right is the electronic coolant temperature sensor, which the ECU reads
