hey guys i just got a car last week and bam, there was no radio in there, some **** thieves ripped out the deck, but unplugged it where u connect the wires... and i got a new alpine deck but when install it , it doesnt work. if theres any spot i can look at or if some electrical **** got damage or whatever, i would like any help ... driving with music is no biggie but i prefer it thanks

so is your harness (the plig) where all you wires meet still in there?? or is it just bare wires with the metal portion of the wire sticking out?? if your harness is still intact and you dont see any bare wires, all you have to do is buy a brand new radio kit harness and match the colors from that stereo harness into the kit harness and your good as new. let me know if anything so i can better understand you goof luck man

hi, db8xc1x39, i have same problem some motherfucking theives stole my car deck the second day I bought it, and also pulled the wiring harness leaving the wires hanging out i don't know what wires are which, I found the diagram, it's different though, I connected the factory wires to the new deck(i bought another one after lost the first one) wires, am i supposed to turn on the new deck just by connecting three wires: 12 volt ignition, 12 volt battery wire and ground wire? I tried but it didn't work, what went wrong?

 

Did you check your fuses...

 

Does anyone have a wiring color code or diagram for the stock radio harness?

I searched archives but no luck!

check the radio fuse under the hood... 9 times out of 10 if u work on the wiring... it will blow... just my 2 cents
