Heres the deal.. its my friends car.. he has a 89 crx hf and had a zc in there but it blew so we put in a a6 swap along with the a6 engine harness and pm6 ecu.. the engine harness from the zc was fried so thats why we used the stock si harness.. everythings in place and the only thing now is it wont spark. we try two different dizzys and change ignitors and coils and still no spark.. i think its a dizzy wiring problem.. I want to know if the si and hf harness are the same and what needs to be changed at the ecu..alot of people say do a mpfi wire swap but its a hf and already has mpfi.. i'm stump...please help thanks for any advice in advance..

 

hf and si harness's are not the same...you need the hf harness...they plug in but they are diffirent..

 

i thought they should be the same because only the hf and si that year came mpfi.. i've asked around and everybodys told me there the same.. do u know if theres any way to re-wire it to work?? the only thing its not doing is giving spark to the dizzy..

 

If you have detailed wiring diagrams you can make a new one from that one....but its a lot easier to go get an HF harness.

Nope HF not equal to Si.

 

does anyone know how to re-wire or have a diagram??

 

i'm having this same problem using an si harness on the 88 hf
the hf harness is missing a plug or two on the head right under the dizz thats why i used si harn
no wiring diagrams though sorry
i am going to switch back to my hf harness and see what happens

 

keep me updated.. i'm still trying to figure this out for a friend.
