I need to find some info on how to chnage the front wheel bearings. My Haynes Manual only shows directions for the rear of the 84-87 models for some reason. Anyone know of a writeup on how to do this or can tell me step by step what needs to be done? My wheel bearings are shot and need to be changed asap. I had planned to do this on wednesday if I can find some info on how to do this.

This is for a 1991 crx by the way.

Actually I found some manuals (basically exploded views of the section)after googling for a couple hours. Then this morning I decided to look again in my Haynes, and it IS in there on page 10-8 in case anyone needs to know in the future.

 

You will need to have a press or have someone press your wheel bearing out.

 

I have a friend with a manual press and if that doesnt work we will use his dad's which has two hydraulic presses.

hell yea it is Just bought my second bearing and ball joint seperator tonight, and found out my dad already had some ball joint seperators. At least I can return teh one I bought (Rented)

 

How did you know your wheel bearing's were bad?

 

I kicked teh wheel and it shook side to side. and I can hear it wobble sometimes. and sometims the wheel will pull slightly in either direction. It freaks me out. I havent driven it in a few days, so I dont die.
