Temp. control slider hard to move...
Hey, my temp adjuster(the thing that adjusts the temp in the cab) Is hard to move. Lie if its at cold i hae to push it 2/3 across, its pretty rough, then to get it to hot i have to literally ram it. It dies this going back to. What could be wrong with it?
to easily see if it isnt due to lack of lubrication... start unconnecting the metal line loops that connect to the valves associated with the slider. There is one directly under the dash, and one connected to the heater core bypass under the hood, and also one up by the drivers feet/dash i think.
Remove them one at a time and then try the slider, if it is hard at all after disconnecting all of them... then it is the line or the slider assembly.

It almost sounds like a flap or something in the dash that it catching or something. The guy before me remved the dash cause the odometer had been rolled back. Could he have messed with something?
messing with the odometer doesnt necessitate removing the dash, just the cluster. I doubt he screwed with the entire dash unless he told you that.

To remedy the problem, just pull out the temp console and throw vaseline/petro. jelly on the cable and the surrounding area.
