Newbie to Turbo! Searched exhasuted!
I have a d15z1, I wanna have some fun with it while im saving for a new motor. Ive searched ALL morning, and my head is spinning. Hopefully some people can clear up some simple questions I have.
1) Motor work, I know I need new ARP studs, what about rods/pistons? Whatelse, I would like to boost 200hp all day, no worries.
2) Turbo itself, I want quickest spool, with a decent enough PSI. What would spool fast and give me 7-10psi? AR/Trims confuse me, give it to me in laymans please.
3) Fuel management, I know I need injectors Fuel Pump, and some sort of ECU? Please explaint he differtence between "hacks" and piggybacks, and whatever otehr options there are.
4) Manifold, what brand will hold up, and will be A/C compatible, and will support what I want?
5) Electronics/ECU again this is where I get lost.
I know this sounds completly newbie, well cause it is. But I have searched thoroughly, and just got a headache. I dont need a DIY of the install, I need help choosing the right setup for my needs. Thank you.
Im sure I missed a lot, please fill in holes.
