B18C5 Swap
Has anyone seen or heard of an Integra Type R motor swap for a CRX? I know it will fit with a bit of adjustments, but would it just be a stupid price for the power you get compared to a B16 swap. Thanks
http://www.droppedcrxsi.com I did the gsr built like a c5 a few years ago. Good setup

Heard of one? Well, I don't know. Maybe.
Oops, I forgot. I have a B18C5 swap. I guess having a black valve cover on it kind of makes me forget sometimes. Anyway, it is really not a difficult swap. No more so than a B16A swap. There are, of course, a number of ways to go about it in terms of the wiring and/or transmission. But this is something that you would have to work out based on your budget and performance aspirations.
As for B18C5 vs B16A, the B18C5 is hands-down the stronger motor, no question about it. I myself upgraded from a B16A to a B18C5. And I in NO WAY long for the B16A (even though it is really not such a bad motor). The B18C5 is, of course, more expensive. But whether it is worth it depends on your goals for the motor. For any kind of an allmotor setup, the C5 is definitely better. More displacement = more power and torque. And although the price difference might allow you to do alot of mods to the B16A for more HP, there is nothing, I repeat NOTHING you can do to that B16A to get you the kind of torque you can get from a B18C5. However, if you go turbo, the advantages of the B18C5 become less.

Ha, sounds like the R motor in my CRX. Ask any racer, any REAL racer, B18C5 > B16.

I am planning on going N/A. I don't think I wanna turbocharge my CRX. My buddy bought a dead motor from osakajdmmotors.com - where do you suggest getting a B18C5 in good condition with few clicks?
