Default seat alarm wont stop going off, please help

i know when one of the seat belts isnt engaged the alarm will beep for a few a seconds and the little light on the rear view will lights up then stop. but now it will flash and wont stop beeping. its really bad, ive tried to disconnect the cord under the seat and still no go. what caught me as strange is that the light that is in the rear view assemlby will flash. it NEVER used to do this before. does any one know why it wont stop flashing or beeping? is it a faulty wire...what?!?!?!

i never fixed mine. i just unplugged the harnes inside the rear view mirror assembly.

be *very* careful taking the plastic sheath thing off the front of the rear view mirror to access the screws.. i broke all 3 of the little teeth things that hold it on, so now i am sporting the non-concealed internals look.

so you never fixed it, damn. i still need to know what caused this ****, and how i can FIX it. i never had the cover when i bought the car, so i dont have to worry about that. i read the hanyes and the chiltons on the 91 crx, but i found **** in there. i do want to FIX this, i dont really want to disconect it. i will only use the dissconection route as a last resort. i really really want all the little odds and ends to work on the inside of my rex.

to fix it, you need to check your grounds of your dash wiring harness. i believe that alarm only goes off when the circuit is grounded by the seatbelt. otherwise the circuit has no ground and electricity flows no where. so you need to find where there is a ground where there shouldnt be. good luck. my car is my daily driver, and i would go f'ing insane with that beeping, so i just unplug it for good.
