CRACKED MY WINSHIELD
i was driving on the right lane and all of the sudden bam...i hit a tree branch or sumthin. i couldnt possibly see it becuz it is above right in the corner of my winshield and it was gettin dark. my cuzzin say call the cops and they should take care of it becuz they cant leave trees like that danging above the road. wat yall think i should do?

its only like 150-200 for a new one... there will be a hassle with the cops and plus it will go on your insurance and in the long run i think you will end up paying more..
but check into it before u make your decision

It depends on which state you live in if your insurance company can charge you more on via your policy for comprehensive, some states mandate laws that disallow the inflation of policy price for a claim that wasn't the insuree's fault. Call your insurance company & ask if they raise policy pricing due to a comprehensive claim, if they don't viola. Be aware most insurance companys require a $500 deductible though..

If it hangs over the city roads, usually the city is responsible. At least that is the case here (Ontario, Canada). Who, prunes the trees? Who's property where they on? If it's the city property and you where driving on city streets, take it to city hall. The police have no ruling on trees, and growth....but the city does. (at least here they do...)
Good luck

If ur in SoCal then the average price should be around $100-150. No more than that. I just replaced my 91 Accord ($120) and a 99 Windstar ($130) including the rubber seal. I got mine done in Riverside; if ur local I'll tell u where to go.
Never mind ur in Luisiana. Good Luck!
