you need 99 si axles the half shaft on the RS motor.you need to get a hydro to cable conversion for the trans if you trying to use the trans from the rs. if knot you to buy a b series trans from 96 and up for hondas and 94 and up for acuras. the wiring should be ok other than the injectors and ecu you. for the ECU you need to a get a conversion harness that goes from OBD2A to OBD1 and for the inejectors you need to either swap the plugs for the injecotrs to OBD1 or just find an OBD2 acura ls and swap injectors. only bcause 96 to 2000 civics use different style plugs on the engine harness.
thank u very much thats what i needed to hear also one more thing what about the engine mounts which will i need
save your money and get a direct swap. youll be spending more on a 93 motor to put into your 97 civic and you might be un happy with it after you do it....

since your car is a 97, which is obd-2a. the motor is obd-1. you will need all obd-1 components i.e.- dizzy, ecu, injectors etc...etc..... speaking from experience, its a headache. you will also need an obd-2a to obd-1 conversion harness for the ecu.
really, do what you want but im just offering some advice. its a headache.....

from the looks of your car you have an ex. you can use your existing wiring harness, all you need is b series axles from either a 99-00 civic is or 94-00 integra, an obd2 distributor (or you can rewire the obd1 search for user katman on here) an obd2 b series alternator, and since you have an ex, you can reuse your injectors ( how i know because i have an obd1 ls in my 96 ex). then of course you'll need the obd2a -obd1 jumper like stated before, and a hydro b series trans if you don't want to spend money on a hydro to cable conversion. if you have any other questions let me know
i dont think anyone else picked up on this, but if the motor you are getting is from an auto, you are also going to need a flywheel and clutch kit, since the auto uses a flexplate and a torque converter.
*the flywheel and clutch setup has to be from a 94 up b-series motor that came with a hydro tranny. the hydro and cable trans have a different spline count*
