Default B16a1 head Gasket

My 91 crx Si b16a1, I need to replace head gasket . going to do the work myself whats the best route to not only replace the gasket but make it faster as well. Replacing head? with b16a2 head? where is best place to find a whole new head replacement. was looking around on Ebay at Type R heads, that could be kinda sketch... not seeing it in person first.

not that much..i would just put the gsr cams in your b16 head....the b16 head is close to the type r head...but if you can get a gsr bottom end put with your b16 head and gsr cams you would have what is called a poor mans type r..

thanks that steers me in right direction. so keep my head have it checked out for warpage .. maybe have it machined .. from the head gasket issue I have had. then put it back together with type R cams see that sounds good already have AEM cam gears. what it does right now i start it revs to 3k instantly billows white smoke and the rev's goo higher higher by the second till i shut it down. last owner got moistiure in motor, it only has 30k on it too. ... motor sounds strong as hell too... just like i said billowing smoke reving high... trying to figure my best plan attack

Like you said, have the head checked out for warp and spend money having it port-n-polished. You can get better gains through this rather than waste on diff head.
