Bad Grinding Jingle at 4k RPM's (b16a turbo)

Default Bad Grinding Jingle at 4k RPM's (b16a turbo)

I have a really bad Grinding jingle at 4k rpm's, near the turbo, drive's me up a wall, and doesnt sound good at all,

Has anyone ever had a noise like this? im tryin to Troubleshoot it, Not having much luck

HELP

what kinda load is this on? It could be anythnig from turbo to tranny input/coutnershaft bearings.

right when the turbo spool's, like something is loose, weird ****..

check the turbo for shaft play... my money goes to the turbo contacting the housings

is your DP really close to anything else?

mine seems to expand then vibrate on my x-member at 4grand. its really ******* annoying..

just a thought..

Turned out to be a cracked turbo manifold.
So...check that out while your in there

thanks for the Tip, were was the crack at, some people showed up last night to kick it in my garage/shop, didnt work on the car much

actually its a DRAG log manifold

Probably a loose bolt somewhere on the exhaust/turbo/manifold.
