looking for a little help
this is my first post in this forum....anyway i was wondering if i could get some pointers from anyone in here, i clicked around for a bit and there is some great stuff in here
id like to fabricate a filtered velocity stock for my turbo. ive found items that resemble it, but either not in the size im looking for or with a crap metal filter.
the inlet is 3" O.D. and i have about 5 inches until ill run into space constraints.
im new to fabrication...and im not a very good welder...i was thinking of doing a 3" piece from the compressor, and then somehow mate a filter in between that piece and a velocity stock...making a filtered stack.
if anyone has any idea, or know of anyone who could do something like this, please let me know.
TIA

you are better off using a regular cone filter. it has more surface area for the air to get through.
if you put a filter inline with the tube, there will be signifigantly less area for airflow, thus hindering your performance.

thanks for the reply...im running a k&n cone on it now...but i never thought of what you just brought up...sorry for the pointless thread
