Default A GOOD DROP????

Just wanted to know if n-e1 knows a good drop for a 97 civic ex on some 17's.. I know, i know I should go with smaller rims, but this is what i have for now, so please if n-e1 knows about weather i can lower my car 1.75 or 1.50 ?? My friend says 1.75 will not clear ??? please help !

1.75 drop will be ok ...depends on the offset on your rims....

on my 98 ex...i have h&r sport springs with 17" rota c10's...the drop i believe is 1.8 in the front 1.5 in the rear.
