Just Bought '06 Sedan
Hey guys, most of you probably won't care but I purchased a new 06 sedan today. Got the EX-L NAVI V-6 with 5 auto (thank you wifey).
Anyway, this thing is so smooth. I can not believe how quiet it is at idle and how nicely it accelerates on the highway. I've driven some fast cars (faster than this) but the power application in this car is never harsh. Just nice and smooth. It's just unbelievable.
Another thing, I love Honda-Tech as I own two other Accords and a Civic del Sol but I must ask if anyone knows of a good 7th gen forum. There's just not a lot of us on HT and V6performance.net is full of people who have no idea what they are talking about such as:
"How much different is the NSX engine from the Accord engine?" AND
"I want to buy an A-pillar for my car." AND
"How do I clear my tail lights out so there is no red?"
In otherwords, please help me find a good forum OR mods split the Accord gens up maybe?
I will be posting pics soon and reporting on my hacked navigation.

Very smooth engine. I have an 03 EXV6 sedan. There are'nt many 7th gens around here yet, but I'm sure the population will grow. I had a 92 ex sedan for 12 years and I loved the car, So I had to get another honda. btw I don't think they will split the accord section up.
Man, I wish they would split it. Oh well. I first bought a 2001 Accord, then a 90, then a 92 (got wrecked up), then a 94, and now this 2006. All but the 92 I still own. Accords Rock!
That's true. I am not looking to do much to the car but some sort of intelligent conversation is nice. And that is not what I get at other forums. I get "can I put a 86" aluminium spoiler on my car?" Oh well, when this generation is about 10 years old we will rule the forum like the CDs do now.
They want to make their cars look cool. But 90% of the aftermarket crap I see on hondas looks cheap and doesn't look like it belongs on the car. But, the 10% I see that are done right look real nice. Be careful not to go with something on impulse. Get quality stuff, what ever it is.

What does hacking the navigation get you? Would you use the screen for videos or something else?

Actually it is not a hack but you can change the background for the startup. I am also getting the optional Honda DVD system which displays the DVDs on a screen in the back and will be using a video switcher so I can also display it on the DVD screen if I want. Using all OEM components except for the switcher.
i think it might be a good idea to split up and seperate the 7th gen from the rest of the accords due to the fact that they are so different. For the most part the motors on the 4th, 5th and 6th gens are very similar, and on top of that the suspension setups are similar too. Have fun with the new accord!
