help! ls/vtec ? vtec boggs like crazy @ 25 + psi
whats up guys! just got done with my new set up, ls/vtec. the motor is having problems with idoling,keeps on dying when i let go the gas so i have to un plug one of the vacum hose behide the manifold for the motor to not keep on dying. also the motor bogs when vtec in gauge if i turn the fpr past 25 + psi. but if the fp is below 25 then it works but dont u guys think that thats too low and running too lean? heres my set up.
pnp gsr head,valve job,match-port blox im & 67mm tb,head milled 0.15,mugen 2 layer hg,arp hb,skunk pro 2 cams & gears,jg valve train, rc 310 injectors,gsr fuel pump, dtr header, ls block,o/s .25 jdm itr pistons,arp rod bolts,ls rods & crank.
also is my motor over cam for this cr? and im using a Ericks chip p-28 ecu (for now) vtec kicks in @ 6k rpm
any suggestion??????????

Are you sure VTEC is even engaging? Maybe it isn't and that's where you're bogging; when the low-cam starts falling off. I searched and found that fuel pressure should be at 40+ psi at idle. I also think you have way too much cam for your compression.
edit: If I'm right about the cams (and I'm pretty sure I am), then that's why you're bogging if VTEC is in fact engaging. Your compression can't carry those cams into the top-end, not to mention you aren't tuned and are running a generic chip.

yes im positive vtec is engaging becuz ive tried different ecu and same result. if i bump the pressure up to 40 psi at idle the motor will idle up and down and boggs when driving and vtec engage.and yeah i was thinking the same, i have way too much cam for my cr. im thinking about putting in some ctr cams that i got laying around
Hell yes! Throw in the CTR cams and you'll be much better off. As for your idle and bogging, that is probably because of your cams too. They are just too big and you aren't tuned for them...bottom line is you have to put in the CTR's and get the thing tuned.
