Can a GEN-0 B16A1 Head work with a GEN-2 B18C1 Block? What happens with the distributor?
Does anyone knows the answer to the following:
I have bolted a 1989 B16A1 (GEN-0) head onto a 1994 B18C1 (GEN-2) Block. My problem is that the head is JDM and the plugs for the Vtec Solenoid and the distributor are different from my USDM harness. The amount of wires are the same and they look as if they serve the same functions. I have the GEN-0 harness plugs to make the change, but I am uncertain if it would work once it is all plugged. Any comments?!? Thank you...

yes it will all work
all you have to do is get the correct vtec solenoid and correct dizzy for your car. whether its obd1, obd2a or obd2b
and its gen 1 theres no such thing as a gen 0 b16 unless you ment obd 0

its not because they are JDM its cause they are obd0, thats why it doesnt plug in, yes you can just get an obd1 dizzy and rewire the 2 wires on the vtec solenoid
