Hey everyone. Apparently I'm new so let me start by saying Hello . I have been thinking alot lately about what i want to purchase for my first vehicle. The thought of 1st Gen AWD DSM's crossed my mind. So did B5 1.8T's. Even 4th Gen 5spd Maxima's, but something just didn't excite me about those, sure they are fast but thats it...This leads me here, to Honda-Tech. After much thinking and pondering, I think that a 94-96 GS-R would be a very good canidate, seeing as I want a car that will be Reliable enough to drive home every weekend from college (about 100 miles), awesome in the autocross with some suspension mods, and cheap to mod. Being a noobie to Honda's there are a few things i wanted to ask about the Integra so lets get started.

1.) Does anyone have a Tein S.S. Coilover setup on their car? Is it better than the Megan Racing coilover kit?

2.)Does a GS-R come with an LSD from factory? Would it be easy/smart to install a Type R lsd into a GS-R? Would it help that much in auto-x?

3.)Is it possible to install an S2000 cluster onto a DC2 Integra? Is it easy to swap?

4.)Should I bother buying a GS-R for handling enjoyment or is there something that I can spend less on and have more fun in?

There are superior suspension setups for less money than the Tein SS setup.

GSR does not come factory LSD in the US. An ITR LSD is a direct replacement for the original diff and will make a world of difference.

Possible, yes. Easy, no.

GSR's are excellent in the handling department with relatively few mods. As far as a bang for the buck autocross car there are few things that can compete.

Why would you want to.

 

Only reason i'd want to do an RHD conversion is because how many RHD tegs are there in the us? I'd get all the Jdm itr interior pieces, seats, dash, center consle, etc.

And could you pm me or post what the alternative for a tein ss kit is? I'm not gonna complain if it saves me money lol
