Default LSD diff

Opinions on helical diffs!? Quaife, Wavetrac, MFactory. .... anyone know if 1 of these manufacturers would be more superior than the next 1??

I've had a Quaife before but that was a good time before Wavetrac and MFactory was even around.

They are all based off the same Torsen design, so they are all similar in function.

Quality and warranty options are also similar.

Just go for whatever you get the best deal on, and whoever can give you the best post-sales support

Quaife or Mfactory .... I would go Quaife..... The Wavetrac has an interesting design though, its more of a hybrid diff..... has there ever been a back to back comparison between a helical diff like the Quaife/Mfactory vs Wavetrac ?

Thanks!!! Appreciate the info. I did as well, enjoyed the 1st Quaife I had. You do get what you pay for with it. But I chose to give MFactory a shot. I will comment back to here how with my opinion of it. Thanks again!

I had the MFactory diff in my race car, I switched up transmissions and gave my brother the old transmission with the Mfactory diff. I made 650+hp on it for a long time, and it still works great on my brothers car right now.

I own 2 Mfactory differentials at the moment, one in my Gforce dog box, and the other in my backup racer-steve GSR tranny, and a OBX one in my LS tranny. all 3 has held up to the track and street abuse.

I have installed many as well but had one issue that was related to a customer's halfshaft mounting that damaged the internals of the diff. I contacted Dave and they sold me the internal parts at their cost to repair it for the customer. A major issue that was solved by a top notch company taking care of their customers. MFactory/Synchrotech FTW
