removing headlamps

Default removing headlamps

just need a general idea on how to remove the headlights on a 95 coupe do i need to remove the bumper or just take out the corner lams and then the headlights any help would be great

you have to pull the clips along the top of the bumper under the hodd and then a bolt on each side of the bumper in the wheel well, and youll see the bolts that hold the headlights in, pretty easy stuff

yepp.. take off bumper, take out headlights, you are going to need an extention for one of the headlight bolts though.

thanks alot i was hoping to be able to do it in my driveway but i have lifts at my job ittl be easier on the lift it doesnt sound like i need to lift the car up though right the screws on the bumper seems rusted i tried to take them off with a basic screwdriver but didnt work can i use an impact driver to take them off

Remove the bumper, remove each corner peice and you can see the bolts that hold the headlights in. There are 4 per light.

no need for a lift. this can be done anywhere the car is parked. Also, be careful not to strip those screws.

it will become a major PITA to remove the bumper. I only said that because I don't see how you could use an impact and not strip them. Just get the right screwdriver and they'll come off easily.

u can use the impact driver just it the top wiht a hammer and it fully seats the head of the bit in the screw and then turn its more torque to get a stuck srew out but ur right though just get a biggerscrew driver

You probably using a #1 screw driver. I believe those are #2 screw driver like most of the other ones.

another question anyone know what sanpaper to use when painting rims i hbave ls wheels im going to paint with the new dupli color paint if i can find bronze but it says to scuff up the wheels what do i use to scuff them up any help would be great again

scotch brite pad, or a fine like 600 grit automotive sand paper
