Default Need opinion on NA!

I'm running a 98 jdm b18b with 9.4 comp(displacement is why I chose that engine) in a 2000 civic coupe with I/H/E plus Act stage 2 clutch!

My headgasket is done and I've got a good price on geting a 3 angle valve job, shaved head, 3 to 4 hours port and polished...so basicaly blueprint the engine!!! I can afford it and no I'm not planning on going turbo!

I'm a newbe so what gains am I looking at, what am I looking at for hp at the wheels!!

( will dyno and ad cams next year when the piggybank is full again)

Thanks!!!

Just porting and polishing the head without doing cams/tuning or any other significant power adder (i.e. forced induction) isn't really going to give you much power at all.

Also, milling the head and porting it does not constitute blueprinting an egine, that's an entirely different process and refers to the block, not the head (I'm not sure what you would blueprint on the head, but somebody correct me if I'm wrong).

So what you guys are saying is that without cams, a valve angle job, port and polish and a shave won't give me much power!!! (looking at 403 cams cause I don't want to change internals!!)

the power is ok, the torque is the LS's trick. the cams are hot as hell...you'll love them. the 3 angle is worth it, but the p&p is a little over kill...

like I say

LS w/ cams < LS-T

-go make yourself a home made turbo kit, get tuned, and have fun

the port and polish is costing me 195$ canadian so it's not to bad and from what I've herd it will help the flow of my current cold air and headers ( wich have a custom downpipe with a 2 1/4" collector to a maganflow 2 1/4" cat to a custom 2 1/4" cat back out a Remus racing muffler!)
