Default Need some advice-Calling out to the experienced Honda tuners

I need some advice on what company I should trust through my B16 build. I don't have a working head, and the current core is ruined. So I need a good running head for a strong street setup, but I'm totally confused at which company I should "trust" so to speak. So far I'm leaning towards IB, since Jeff has offered some really good deals, and since he can supply a core head, unlike many other companies out there. I've looked into JG, RHS, Dart, R&D, Exospeed, and a few others out there that have quoted unrealistic prices for my goals. I'm really just lookin for a head that can handle more power...and do it more reliably, but not necessarily make any more power than a stock unit would make. So stage 1 through 1500 port work is not necessary. 400whp is absolute maximum HP this motor should ever see.

In addition, I've already been taken to the cleaners once on a head through an individual, so private business is not happening again. I just want to know from you guys who out there (reputable companies) offers a decent price for a reliable piece, AND actually stands behind their work in a trustworthy manner?

If you're not looking for big power, technically all you really need is to upgrade the valvetrain and refresh the head with a new valve job, seals and resurface. The main thing in prepping the head to handle high hp is to have a good flow through the valves, crappy valve jobs can make or break what you got. And also strengtening the valvetrain so it can handle the high rpm, boost you plan to do.

No port work is really needed to achieve 400hp. Just strenghten the parts that need to be worked on and you should be good with that.
