Default are high flow convertors worth it?

ive had mixed reviews about high flow convertors and was wondering do they really work and if so how much horse you gettin out of one? and is it worth the money really?

You won't get an insane improvement over stock and neither will you with a straightpipe. All that exhaust nonsense is not a BIG improvement in power, only on the butt dyno

Stay stock or get the high flow if your stock one is busted

well said. You gain good hp from it only if you have force induction setup. Otherwise, only a few gains at the top end where you lose some on the low end.

comparing hiflow to no cat the differences are minimal but the hiflow will keep the exhaust from sounding like total crap. if you are boosting then having one will make a difference. if not dont worry about it. if you do decide to pick on up make sure it is actualy a cat, and not a test pipe claiming to be a cat.

when your current cat goes to ****, put a high flow cat... otherwise don't bother

Actually, not all true on the sound. I compared my hi-flow CAT & the stock one w/ my current SC setup. The sound is the same and mine pass smog.
