Default Question?

I read something that made me wonder... I read that the ring gears on the GSr trannies and the b16 trannies are different, isn't it possible to put the b16 tranny on a gsr engine?

The differentials themselves are different, not simply the ring gears.

But yes, you can put a B16 tranny on a GSR motor. The diff being different has nothing to do with the splines on the input shaft...

And the splines on the input shaft has nothing to do with the motor: just get a different clutch disc!

theres no need to swap clutch discs if both trannys are hydro the only time you would change the disc is if your tranny was a 90-91 and you where switching to a 92-93 tranny or vice versa but those are cable, long story short if there hydro you dont need to change clutches unless its bad, all hydro trannys have the same spline<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by 2-logicl &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">sweet so I just need to swap my clutch to a different one? so what you are saying is do not get a clutch for a 90-91 b series? If that is the case then I had no plans to do so.
