next time check the faqs. How long does it take... eh depends on how easily you get the axle nut and the ball joints off. then popping out the axle can sometimes stick.

Keep in mind, when an axle boot rips, all the grease inside comes out. Well what does this mean ? The cv joint has probably over heated and could fail if you just replace the boot. Just be careful with the situration.

lol, you could jam pack it full of grease and then duct tape it cheater way that will get you a few miles. For temperary use only.

Lets just say I will never ever just replace a boot on a customers car, due to safety reasons.

Once you seen a guy on the drag strip, going about 9 to 100mph down the quarter mile, and you see him hit the wall. And later find out an axle snapped, and come to find out the boot was ripped the previous week, well you have your doubts on just replacing the boot.

yeah I was just saying if you need to get to A-B for a little while then do the duct tape. but for sure get a new axle. I recommend that also!!

my cv-joint was pretty bad. i could still drive it. it's just that it started to clank. mine was the front right. cv-joints arent expensive to put it. mabey under 200 for parts and work.
