Are DA LCAs the same as 89-91 CRX/Civic's?
I'm trying to put some CRX bushings into some DA LCA's and the bushing won't fit the strut mount with the inner sleeve in place. It looks like they might fit with the sleeves out, but I'm having quite a tough time getting the sleeves out to test it. The bushings kit reuses the sleeves pretty much everywhere else, so this is kind of odd.
On that note, anyone have any tricks for getting the sleeves out? A simple MAPP torch to the rubber got it out no problem, but these damned sleeves...

Yea, there are a few other threads on that issue. Due to complete lack of bushings for those LCAs (even the "right" set doesn't include strut bushings), so I'm switching to the more common setup. I happend to have DA LCAs sitting around leftover from my disc swap, but none for a CRX.
theyre very different. DA arms are the oddball of all the arms. the shock bushing location relative to the inside/outside bushing is closer to the outside bushing.
i also noticed that the DA bushings have extra reinforcement in the rubber portion of the bushing. almost to make it stiffer.
i dont know if the bushings are compatible.

EF Bushings fit if you remove the sleeve. One other concern though: suspension geometry... will it be close enough?
Everythings bolted up and ready to get an alignment tomorrow morning, I'm kind of crossing my fingers.

the ED and DA rear LCA's share 2 of the same bushings (both outer ends). The center bushing on the DA LCA's are of different size (the bushing where the strut fork mounts over). This was my experience based on my HF rear LCA vs. the 90 DA rear disc that I did on my wifes 90 CRX HF.

I found this out the hard way stranded at my friends house...
when i did my es bushing install i was using DA rear lcas. To get the sleeve out i had to buy a o2 sensor socket and modifiy it. After the sleeve was removed my new bushing was too small.
Ended up making an emergency trip to the junkyard to get some ee8 rear lcas.

No not trailing arms. You mean rear lower control arms
