Default anyone experienced this?

i have a base auto 5 gen with about 40k on it and is pretty much stock except for eibach springs. ive had no major problems since i bought the car but within the past month ive noticed than if i have been driving for a long time in heavy traffic and usually when it is also a really hot day i can hear like this kind of creaking/knocking sound when i first accelerate and repeats if i maintain any speed below 10 mph. i commute 30 miles everyday and am in bumper to bumper traffic both ways so this gets really annoying and i am worried its part of a bigger problem. my best guess its tranny related, since i have hear bad things about 5 gen auto trannies. btw i already searched for this. but if anyone has experienced anything like this. please share ur wisdom. thanks

you ought to take it to a shop and have the transmission checked out...

the only other thing i would be able to think of is bad axles or something in the brakes....

motor might be detonating when you accelerate? what octane are you using? if you use crappy gas(85-87 octane), you'll get that noise, especially when its really hot out. my 2 cents.

mine does the same thing. i took it to a shop and they could find nothing. i replaced rotors and pads and no change. i have no clue where else to look but the axles. i have also noticed a creak when the car is jacked up, try pulling up on the front fender and you will hear it. i would rule out auto trans because i have talked to someone with an SH who has the same problem. i have also developed a new problem that i dont know is related or not, the abs will do a self check when turning into a parking spot just like when you start out.
