This is a standard option on 99-00 Civics, I was wondering if anyone has done this on their 96-98 Civic, I'd like to do it. Any insight? Thanks.

find the wiring diagram for a 99-00 and try to mimic it.

 

That reply was pointless & not needed, was that some sort of attempt to boost your post count, or are you just a jerk? This is a small asthetic modificaiton I was curious about looking into, if I was happy with the dome light turning on when the door was opened I would leave my car be & this topic would have never been posted, don't you agree civic_driver?

 

if you dont mind making the curcuit yourself it can be done with a simple automotive relay, one resistor and one capacitor.
