help with h22 redline

my 95 accord ex is hitting redline at 6600 what is the problem

make sure you car is at normal operating temperature.

Id like to know the same thing I just got mine done and the only thing I have left to do is hook up the knock sensor and the vtec solenoid. I was running with ou t those two things hooked up and it was cutting off around 6600 as well. Not to thread jack but would the hooking up of the knock sensor and solenoid have any kind of effect on that? I am using a obd 2- ob1 conversion harness with a jdm 94 prelude ecu. Thanks

if your using the stock accord tach it is off a bit, i had to get a 5" autometer to get accurate tach info

Ummm why do you think it's called a VTEC Solenoid.......... But yes, Those are vital components to not have your car run like ****.

But anyways Akkord94 are you having any Check Engine Lights?

Loop the diagnostic plug under the dash and give us a number. It'll help us help you.

found the code it's a 12 and 21
12 egr
21 vtec solonoid

ricepicker is a great guy lots of help. wish there was more people like him
