I'm looking for a performance 13" tire. I recently picked up some mesh rims from a second generation prelude and I was wondering what tires would be good for a daily driver/performance tire.
I was looking at the Avan A032R but I don't know if they'll fulfill my needs. Sorry if I sound like a total nub, but these would be the first set of tires that I'd actually be buying.
edit: the stock continental tires are way too fat for me

What kind of car is this for (year, model, version)? How do you plan to use it? On the track? Daily driving? Warm weather, rain, snow and ice?
The A032R is a track tire. It's suitable for track use only. It wears too quickly to use on the street. (You would probably get less than 5K miles on those tires on the street; I typically get about 1200 miles to them on the track.)
There aren't a lot of performance tires that come in 13" sizes, but if you help us understand what your needs are, we can try to help.

I apreciate your response and patience with me.
I'm looking for something that A) won't look as bad as the fat *** tires that it already has and B) something I could use for the warm weather (no winter), grip rain as it would be a daily driver, but something with grip. Something along the lines of an Azeni sport or something.
This is all on a 1991 Civic DX.
edit: this is the wheel

I like the wheels so any answers other then "get new wheels" will be apreciated

Unfortunately, there are no really good 13 inch tires, like Falken Azenis. Wheels are just getting bigger and bigger, and us 13 inch wheel folk are suffering.
Best bet is here: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/...R+200
For a Civic, I'd go with the 185/60-13 or 195/60-13. But I've had 205/60-13s and 215/50-13s on 13x5s, too.
What size is that on there in the pic???

You're probably right.

Sumitomo does not recommend anything wider than 185 on a 13x5 wheel. I would go with 175/70-13 on your car. It's a closer match to the outer diameter of the 155/80-13 stock size (-0.5 percent) than the 185/60 (-4.5 percent, which is really going to throw off your speedometer and odometer).
These are NOT very sticky tires. Not at all. But I don't know of anything better, that comes in a 13" size that would work. If you want sticky tires, I think you're going to have to buy a set of bigger wheels (say, 15") to accommodate them. This will also help with that "fat ***" look, as you refer to it.

hey nick, sammy used his 13" tires for autocross, and they weren't horrible, but like everyone said above, it's very hard to impossible to find a good performance for a non-race rim 13 incher.
