Does the 88-91 crx have a gas light?
stupid question but just out of curiosity, does the crx have a gas low indicator light. i usually never drive it with less than a quarter tank, but the other day it was on the red by "e" and i thought a light would come on in that slot across from where the check engine light is but it never came on and i filled it. so does it have one or not?
No they don't. The only way I've heard of to get one is to get a cluster w/ one installed. Like this one. Kinda pricey though. I rock the second one w/o a gas light.I say if you need gas just get gas. The only time I'd want a gas light is for cross-state highway trips. When those come up I just start estimating mileage before stopping anyway.

You have a fuel gauge. When it gets towards the 'E', it indicates that you're low on fuel. (assuming its working..)
<-Adam, who never understood why people need low fuel lights.

i always wondered why ppl would need a gas light...just look at the damn gauge
plus u shouldnt run ur tank till its almost empty cuz thats when u start pumping all the crud on the bottom of ur tank and ******* up ur injectors

i usually mix in one of those injector cleaners with my gas once a week...other then that i dont know how to get rid of that ****, unless u just buy a fuel cell

how can you clog your fuel injectors? they have fine filters on them. If u want to remove the crud on the bottem of the tank, why not just put the front of the car on jacks, remove the fuel drain plug and pour gas in the tank via gas cap?
I'm acutally curious as to how far on "e" will the needle have to be inorder to be empty? i ran it till the middle of the bar the other night, not on purpose, but because all the gas stations were closed. filled up the next morning and everything was cool.

it's becuz of the fine filter it has that causes the clog....and draining the gas won't clean out the tank...same goes to oil and tranny oil changes....if u really want it to be clean...drop the tank, drain the gas, take it to a radiator shop and have them boiled it...it will clean all the crud and even rust.

It has a needle that tells you how much gas you have.
when it's low... you should add more.
HAHAHA
or better yet, honda made their engines special, when its out of gas, the engine shuts off to let you know to add gas. LOL

there's not a really good answer to that, as honda's gas gauges aren't too accurate or exact, every one reads a little different, and they fluxuate. however, you can generally go quite a ways under empty, and it usually doesn't really damage the car to run out of gas like with some cars (my rabbit, for example)
