Please remove the H option. Our cars are made for b-series!!! Nice first post BTW, here come the posts telling you to search.

for one, a "new" jdm motor isn't new. second, don't automatically look past the d-series, especially if you are planning on boosting. and third, read, research, and learn BEFORE you buy anything.

Oh, yeah. Good luck getting decent prices on motors in LV, or even people to rebuild them for cheap if you aren't doing it yourself. Stay D series (maybe a DOHC ZC) if you are going to boost. If ya want a POS D15B1 with bad rings and a blown headgasket, I can help ya out!!! I will give it to ya for free, just swing by and pick it up

my sugestrion would be to go to the junkyard, and find a old cavalier engine, they swap right in.

Don't you think you should pick your engine out for yourself? Search on each engine, judge the pros and cons, and then choose which best fits your idea of what your car needs to be.

Why? Are B-series motors just too weak internally?

No they are far stronger....its just that they cost so much more to put in before you do any mods.

For less than a B swap you could have a turbo D that would be faster.

i thought they were the same.. b16 power is very simalry to a turbo d series... and dont you have to port n polish and sleeve the bottom.. well iono but wutever you do pick make sure its wut you want .. just get input from other people.. dont have they pick for you.. it all depends on wut u want.. i think u should go for a LSVTEC and then boost that.. or a CRVTEC.. but its up to u.. keep us posted.. seems like you have the money also..

SEARCH... What are your power goals? What do you plan to do with the car? (DD or weekend car?) Really a bunch of options. youonly know what you want, so you gotta search and find out how to build what you want... good luck
