Default D series trans help

Hi i have a d16y7 motor in my 92 civic hatch. The trans went bad....I know d series trans will fit my motor...but im going to get a d15dseries trans but it is cable. I was wondering would the cable work still since it is not hydraulic? If not anyone selling a Dseries trans? anyhelp would be nice

Thanks,

You'll have to convert to a cable clutch, not worth the work. Get another EG tranny or I can hook you up with a bearing, synchro and seal rebuild kit.

like dave said just find another 92+ transmission. preferably a D16Z6 or D16y8, the later being the better of the two. they are abundant just search around.

The d15 cable tranny will not fit. The mounts are different and the placement of the tranny is different. You should be able to get a 92-up ex or si tranny for about $200.
