Default d series tranny

im about to swap transmissions (auto -> manual).. ive been offered 2 different D Series trannys..
1) d16y8 tranny (only 55k & $175)
or
2) '88 CRX Si Tranny (didnt mention mileage & $150)

i have a d16y8 (engine) in my car right now, i have sight to boost it, what are the pros/cons/differences between the trannys?

Considering your signature, the hydro is the only one that will fit without custom fabrication (mounts) and a hydro to cable conversion kit.

The 88 Si trans has slightly better gearing, but not enough for the money involved in getting it to fit the 96+ chassis (if my assumtion about sig and name are correctl )

Bottom line: get the Y8 trans.
