like the title says, I'm looking into getting some cams that will get me to the 200hp+ With all things aside like build bottom end, headers, intake mani., trottlebody, injectors, p&p, valves, springs, retainers, hondata, etc.. etc.. what would be the cams that would take me to that level? I have my mind really set on bc3 or even some skunk2 pro1 or 2. or maybe even a mx22, cuz I think any higher than that would be too much for my b16.. So any input would be apprciated

 

BC spec IV should get the job done. But it would help if u listed what ur Compression ratio will be.

 

hmmmmmmm well like a 11:1 comp. I'm sorry I dont really know my compression like that, but since where on the topic what would be a good compression and a set of cams that would reach that 200+ hp goal?

 

Get a Larger Engine.

 

your question is workin backwards but since you want the cams first...i would suggest junIII's only cause you can run them with spring and retainers on stock block and head and still gain some ponies. and as you upgrade the rest of the motor...the cams should work well with whatever your doing...

I guess you guys didnt get what I really meant when i said with all things aside, meaning for example, that If have done a rebuild on the the bottom end already with all the aftermarket parts you can think of and the head with all the aftermarket parts you can think of also, what would be an ideal cam to run to reach that 200+hp. So basically all I'm really asking is which would be a best cam for a b16 to reach 200+hp. Oh yeh for the guy that said get a larger engine, if that was an answer to my question then i wouldn't never created this post.

Why would you wanna turbo a motor with ctr pistons?

you don't get what we mean when we say, what compression motor etc... say you're running 13:1 compression, a set of stage 1s will get you there... but if its like 11:1 you're gonna need a set of stage 2s.

or are you saying "everything else is top of the line and average compression for 200whp, everage header, average p&P etc" THEN what cams should be chosen? in that case... stage 2 will prolly get you there

but i agree with what the other guy said earlier- jun IIIs are awesome.

ok...again the best cam to probably reach 200+ hp are numerous out there...if your talkin whp? your gonna need either junIII's toda C's or something of this sort...plus u need some high *** compression and a good ems and the rest of it to get there...check the archives for a build by omniman...i believe he achieved this 200hp benchmark with a b16 ages ago...imo your question is too vahue and cannot be answered clearly...in other words unless we know what u have we cannot give you any good suggestions on cams that will get you to 200+ hp.
